Galiano Stella Vintage Parlor Guitar Circa 1920
Item # RBG-002

Likely had a 'Galiano' label (although it is quite similar to the 'Globe' guitar in this listing: # 140388264587). Pretty elegant little guitar: Inlaid wooden purfling and marquetry...sweet french polish finish...use of Ivory. The old fingerboard (which had MOP dots @ frets 5,7,10,12 is gone- it was removed super-duper cleanly- no wood missing, no glue...it looks as though there was never even ever a fingerboard on this neck. Spruce top has two flush line cracks and a couple of spots where the finish is a smidge worn. All the kerf lining is the 'square-cut' type. I'm not sure what wood the back and sides are...mahogany, cherry? Back & sides finish is in really sweet shape...there is one small 2 3/4" crack on the back. The sweet low-profile neck is solid mahogany...nice and straight...back of the neck has nary a blemish on it! - nut width = a hair over 1 3/4". Brazilian rosewood peghead veneer. Original tuners are solid brass; real quality....still in fine shape- all smooth and straight. The real ivory strap pin has broken off, and part of it it still in the hole...I think the entire guitar's binding is ivory also, but don't quote me on that.

Lower bout = 13 3/16"
Body length = 19 1/8" -- which is particularly long.
Scale length = 25 1/2" -- which is interesting.

Original Ebony pyramid bridge is super-clean with no cracking whatsoever...just needs re-gluing. The back has separated from the top (but super cleanly) from the neck block down around 3" -to half way down the upper bout. This could sell for over $1,000 in good playing condition...a good contender, and pretty rare.
